Cityzenith: Comprehensive Digital Twins For Smart City Innovation

Follow Cityzenith on :

Digital Twin technology has become a cornerstone of the modernization of construction. It has gained tremendous popularity and proved to be an efficient and dependable tool to visualize a city’s data in real-time. Plus, with the current rate of digitization at an all-time high, aggregating and consolidating data from potentially millions of sensors, building information modeling (BIM) programs, geographic information systems (GIS), and public databases in a standardized manner is becoming far easier. Having understood the vast potential of digital twin technology in today’s increasingly globalized market, Michael Jansen, Chairman and CEO of Cityzenith, emphasizes that his company can support governments in creating smart cities.

“Our solution makes us the specialists in delivering urban-scale digital twins for structures as large as airports, city infrastructures, districts, campuses, and large commercial projects as well,” he says.
Based in Chicago, IL, Cityzenith offers a holistic platform that empowers users with structured data sets to create an exact digital twin of a building. Aptly titled, SmartWorldPro2, the solution aggregates critical software tools that are used throughout the lifecycle of a construction project, from design through to operations, within a single user interface. Cityzenith has also recently released their updated software—SmartWorld OS—to help large-scale building owners and operators to overcome hurdles in the areas of optimizing design, planning, and construction.

More importantly, Cityzenith’s solutions have also begun to pave the way for sustainable and eco-friendly development and maintenance of upcoming smart cities. Today's new technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are highly effective in guiding construction professionals in analyzing and evaluating decarbonization strategies, thanks to the vast amounts of disparate information that SmartWorldPro2 provides.

Cityzenith has incredible talent fueling its innovation; SmartWorld OS’s chief software architect is the creator of Google Earth, along with a number of other veteran engineers, Jansen remarks that he has always been lucky when hiring new staff. “We have had tremendous talents from Silicon Valley, Europe, and Asia, each of them leveraging their vast, multi-faceted software experience to create the platform,” adds Jansen.

The Orlando Sports and Entertainment District (OS+ED) is a fantastic example of Cityzenith’s considerable capabilities. The entire project is estimated to cost over 500 million dollars; Cityzenith’s SmartWorldPro2 digital twin platform will integrate thousands of public and private systems to create a unified visitor experience throughout the district. The solution, having been developed with meticulous layers of detail, empowers users to view and enjoy an activity in the sports arena from the perspective of someone sitting in a particular seat while remaining in their hotel rooms or dinner tables in real-time. It can also improve the resolution of ticketing, vending, or even reservation issues by simplifying the process, as the solution has access to a massive framework of structured information. “We have the unique ability to allow potential visitors to experience OS+ED online in a very beautiful, SIM-city-like manner before they even enter the actual location,” states Jansen.

With such robust features and powerful data aggregation capabilities, Cityzenith shows great promise in smart city development and environmentally considerate construction. The company intends to launch a new version of SmartWorld OS by the end of the first quarter to help improve data management for large real estate complexes. Additionally, Cityzenith is set to focus on sustainability and renewable energy projects throughout the rest of this year. With its ongoing Regulation A+ crowdfunding activities bringing in significant capital, Cityzenith expects to revolutionize the proptech landscape for the years to come.
